On Monday, the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) announced the signing of goalkeeper Federico Perricone.
The 29-year-old Italian international has spent the last three seasons with Napoli, which are currently in Serie A.
After two successful seasons at Fiorentina, Perricones move to Napoli is expected to be announced soon.
The news comes on the heels of Napoli’s announcement that they have signed goalkeeper Giorgio Chiellini, who will also move to the Serie A outfit.
The former Lazio and Napoli goalkeeper has played for the Italian national side three times, winning two trophies and making five appearances.
Chiellinis first move to Serie A came in 2014, when he joined Sampdoria, where he made three appearances.
A total of nine Serie A players have joined Serie A this season, while seven players have been loaned out, according to the FIGC.
In total, Napoli have signed 16 players, which is more than the previous three seasons combined.
They have signed three new signings: Sergio Cirino, who is a versatile defender, and Daniele Bonera, who joined Napoli from Lazio in July.
